A cooktop at the same level as the counter makes it easy to pull or push the pot or frying pan across the cooktop; no difficult or heavy lifting is necessary. In order to turn the stove on or off the user wedges the knob between index finger and long finger, or between thumb and index finger (photo no. 2).
