Go up a curb in a wheelchair

Technique for people with strong arms

Description
The user drives up to the curb. Just before the foot reaches the edge he lifts the castors a little bit over the edge. He slides his hands back on the push rims while bending his upper body forward. Then he presses the push rims forward and when he is up with all four wheels, he raises his upper body again.

Description of technique according to the book ‘Drivkraft’ [Driving force] by Ake Norsten, see below. The book is available in Swedish.
