Kitchen knife with holder

Kitchen knife with orthotic, works well for a person who lacks active hand function

Description
An attachment device is glued to the handle of a Japanese chef’s knife in order to attach the knife to an orthosis that stabilizes the wrist. The orthosis consists of a cradle that sits around the wrist. An aluminum brace goes along the underside of the hand and is fitted with a metal loop for the small finger.
The user can place two types of knives on the orthosis.

The knife is stored in a stand in the kitchen drawer, so that the user can pick it up unaided (photo 4).
