Mobile toilet

A folding lift attached to the wheelchair makes bathroom visits possible anywhere – suitable for women with extensive disabilities

Description
The 'mobile toilet' is a lift that can be attached to the wheelchair. The lift consists of four metal bars that are attached to the wheelchair, a transverse metal bar and a hand winch. The four metal bars are attached to four fittings on the wheelchair, two on the wheelchair footrests and two on the back (Photos 3, 4). Each metal bar consists of three/four parts that are put together. The bars are held together on top by the transverse metal bar. The winch sits on the bar and the lift tackle is attached to the the winch hook. The user can be lifted high enough to pull off trousers and skirt. The seat cushion is removed and a plastic container is inserted, see associated tip. The entire lift is stored in a small suitcase on wheels (photo 5).

Bathroom visits outside the home have always been a problem for Helena. In the past she always brought her mobile floor lift. The problem was that the floor lift was in the car, which may have been parked far away. Now all she needs is a small suitcase. The 'mobile toilet' is often used and provides great relief for the user.
