Simple mechanical door closer

Simple solution for wheelchair users to close outward-opening doors

Description
A string is attached on the upper edge of the door on the side opposite the hinge. The string runs through a metal eye that sits in the upper corner of the door frame and hangs down along the door frame. A teething ring hangs from the end of the string (photo no. 2).

Technique: The user closes the outward-opening door behind him by pulling the string, i.e., by taking the teething ring between his teeth. Then he drives the wheelchair forward (photo no. 3).
