Tray with thermal insulation used as work table

A large tray with thermal insulation provides practical workspace in the kitchen for wheelchair users.

Description
The tray also has a cover and is designed to hold a baking dish in order to serve a meal directly from the dish while keeping the food warm. The sheet is placed directly on the tray. The user uses the bottom part as a work table when cooking. He places anti-slip fabric under the tray so that it sits firmly on his lap.
The tray has a durable heat-resistant surface.

Authors comments
The user is very satisfied with the tray. He uses it when he prepares food. He prefers it to sliding boards or the kitchen counter, since it has the right work height, which doesn't bother his shoulders. It is also large and sits steadily on his lap and the user can move around in the kitchen with it.
It has a specially treated area so it is very easy to clean; dirt comes right off. Sharp objects cannot be used directly on the tray; the user puts a cutting board on the tray when chopping vegetables, etc.
