A technique for wheelchair users with impaired hand function and balance

Description
Technique:
The user, whose wheelchair does not have an anti-tip device, positions himself against a bed or a wall in order not to tip backward. He unbuttons the trousers (see associated tip), places both hands in the waistband, leans backward over the backrest, so that his bottom lifts somewhat from the chair and pulls down the trousers (see associated tip). He lifts up one leg at a time onto the calf strap and pulls the trousers down to his knees. He places his feet back on the foot bar. He lifts one leg with his forearm under his knee so that the foot is hanging above the other thigh. He pulls off his shoe, sock, and the trouser leg and places his foot back on the foot bar. He repeats the process with the other leg.
