The rod is used as a mouth stick for the trigger (photo above). The camera sits on a stand with a metal loop (photo below). The regular stand attachment is used. The camera can be placed on the user\u2019s adjustable \u201cthird hand\u201d (see tip \u201cstand &#8211; the user\u2019s \u2018third hand\u2019\u201d) and is attached with a screw.
