Inside is a thin layer of quilting as padding. The fabric bag has a Velcro closure.

Users comments
The sliding board is mainly used during transfers with differences in level. The fabric allows the user to slide very easily and avoid friction. The sliding board works even when the user is not wearing clothes, though it is important to dry off after the shower before using it.
The loop makes it easy to grasp it and pick it up from the floor. The loop also lets the user hang it on the backrest of the chair so it is always available. The sliding board is small and convenient and easily fits in a small backpack.
When the user is dressed the sliding board can also be used without the cover, for example, during transfers to the couch. The user plans to lengthen the anti-slip strips on the back of the board. Since the board is so short it is important for it to be firmly attached.
The fabric is taken from a pair of old shorts (swimsuit).

Made by
The user’s mother (cover)

Paid for by
The user (fabric bag), County Council (sliding board)

Whose idea
The user

Sliding board in fabric bag (bottom with attached anti-slip material)

Fabric bag open, quilting fabric visible

Sliding board without fabric bag (top)

Sliding board without fabric bag (underside with anti-slip strips)

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[306
471
post-3173","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-tips-about-wheelchair-transfer-6","tag-authors_v3","et-has-post-format-content","et_post_format-et-post-format-standard
["GET
