The Fred 25 powerboat, see also “Accessible motorboat”, spinalistips.se\/en\/tip-accessible-motorboat<\/a> adapted for people with high spinal cord injury.
\nThe Fred 25 is an aluminum motorboat developed to suit everyone. It is 7.50 meters long and the deck is completely level. The boat is extremely stable sideways and has a bow thruster. The boat is equipped with a wide folding ramp at the bow (see photos below), as well as anchoring points for attaching wheelchairs with straps (see photo far below).<\/p>\n

The boat differs from a standard Fred because it has the joystick control, autopilot and navigator, see related tip, and a cabin in plexiglas that protects from rain and cold. The bow ramp is slightly extended to allow it to be less steep when boarding or deboarding. The boat is also equipped with an aft cover and pull-out sofa for overnight trips.<\/p>\n
