Elastic strap with a loop and Velcro closure is used as a flatware holder. The user pulls the loop over his index finger. The strap is then placed around the middle and index fingers and attached using the Velcro closure.
The shaft of the fork is inserted between the strap and the index finger on the underside of the index finger and on the upper side of the long finger.
