A programmable electric unit (made in-house) is connected to a solenoid switch. The switch sits on the kitchen drawer where the medicine dosette is stored. The unit is programmed to flash when it is time for the user to take medicine. When the user opens the kitchen drawer to get the dosette the unit stops flashing. The unit is located under the edge of the upper cabinet so it is easy to see.
