Baby carrier for parents who use wheelchairs

Having babies in a carrier makes it easier for parents who use wheelchairs

Child in baby carrier on user’s lap
Child in baby carrier on user’s lap

Description
Carrier with an adjustable belt and shoulder straps. The user places a pillow under the child because the carrier’s shoulder straps are not long enough for the child to be able to sit on his lap.

Model: Babybjörn

Users comments
Using the pillow lifts the weight off the user’s shoulders, and both he and the child can sit comfortably.
From about 1 year of age the user’s three children have been able to sit freely on his lap without a harness, see related tip.
When the children were really small, they could be suspended in the baby carrier facing the user. This solution worked until they were about 8 months old and too large for their legs to fit. Once the children are old enough to sit by themselves, usually nothing is needed when the children ride along.
