The hoist can quickly and without tools be folded down to a compact size for easy storage and transportation. When folded it can be placed into a large case on wheels. For transportation it can be separated into two pieces to reduce the weight. The heaviest part weighs 13 kg, the hoist does not have any loose parts.
The hoist has a strong aluminium frame, with a lifting capacity of 150kgs (23.5 st). It is easy to manoeuvre. The hoist also has a large lifting range, and can lift from higher surfaces such as examination couches, as well as lifting from the floor.

An added advantage is the amount of extra equipment that is possible to get in the hoist box when flying (no weight restriction, if counted as second additional item).
