User moves from car to wheelchair (video)
The user positions the wheelchair at a 45-degree angle to the car. He slides forward on the seat, places one hand on the wheelchair cushion and the other on the handle above the door, and lifts himself over. Then he lifts out his legs, one at a time, places them on the foot bar, and straightens out.

A different technique that other users with strong arms prefer is the following: place the outer leg outside the car on the ground and move the other leg forward. Then slide forward on the seat as far as possible, place one hand on the outer frame of the wheelchair and the other on the seat close to the hip, lean forward and move over to the wheelchair.
