The wheelchair is a sports chair from Quickie. The wheels have a 20 degree camber angle. A fifth wheel behind the chair prevents it from tipping. The chair has friction drive rings. The front wheel and the fifth rear wheel are extra hard for speed.
The user has different belts to sit securely in the chair:
– seatbelt over thighs with Velcro closure, standard
– positioning belt around knees with closure that resembles a snowboard binding presses him backwards in the chair
– feet are strapped backward against the frame with Velcro binding

Users comments
Positioning belt around knees holds the user in the chair and makes it easier to drive the wheelchair with body movements alone.
