Toilet seat – modification of ordinary wheelchair

Toilet seat - customized wheelchair seat, facilitates bathroom visits when traveling
A hole was cut from the wheelchair seat.
A hole was cut from the wheelchair seat.

This modification makes it easy to deal with bathroom visits when the user travels.

A round opening was made in the seat (under the cushion) of the user’s wheelchair. A plate of the same material as the wheelchair seat is attached with Velcro straps over the opening (see photo below), but this is more for “cosmetic” purposes and is only used to prevent the hole from being seen.

Users comments
Works when it is necessary to drain the bladder outdoors in nature, in inaccessible environments, behind a bush, over a “standing toilet,” or indoors with a bucket under the chair. When she is outdoors the side support also provides some privacy.

She has had great use for this solution on many trips abroad or when visiting friends in their vacation home.
