The user positions the wheelchair at a 45-degree angle to the toilet. He lifts up the foot that is closest to the wheelchair onto the foot bar and moves the other leg closer to the wheelchair. To transfer to the wheelchair, he places the hand closest to the wheelchair under his knee and leans his elbow on the wheelchair. He holds onto the toilet armrest with the other arm, bends forward, and presses over to the wheelchair. Then he holds on with one arm in the wheelchair handle behind the back to maintain balance, straightens out, and picks up his legs.
