Transfer to horse

Lift that enables transfer to horse - opportunity for wheelchair users

Transfer to horse with lift (video from Carin Bergfeldt)

An electric lift intended to be a ceiling lift is mounted on an outward boom on the outside of the stable. The user positions herself under the lift, puts on the slings and lifts herself up. An assistant move the wheelchair out of the way and leads the horse so that the user can lower herself with the lift to sit on the horse.
The user has a customized saddle, see related tip. The assistant helps to fasten the front of the saddle and to place the user’s feet in the stirrups.
